Renata’s Simply Delicious Lodge is a bright and roomy, hand built 3 bedroom home with an open concept design and numerous windows to enjoy the wonderful views of the surrounding Kootenay Rockies. Outside you’ll see fields of tall grasses and wildflowers receding into the forest, and the sparkling waters of the Lower Arrow Lakes beckoning just a short walk away.
The Lodge features timbers sourced from the UBC Library and a recycled bridge from Castlegar, plasters made with local beach sand, locally sourced wood products and many recycled/reused items from all over British Columbia and Northern Washington. Our electricity is derived from the sun, with solar panels and a battery bank providing us with all the power we need, and we use propane to power our instant hot water heater, refrigerator and stove. If you are here in the cooler months you will enjoy our fabulous Meridian tiled wood stove, which heats the whole Lodge.
Here at Simply Delicious Lodge we strive to be ecologically responsible, and are proud to offer all of the amenities of city living, including telephone and wireless internet while being 100% off the Grid!
The Sunrise Room is an impressively large bedroom that is perfect for a couple! It features fabulous views with windows looking North into the fields and meadows surrounding the Lodge, and East out over the Arrow Lakes. Inside you will find a Queen size bed, a comfortable chair to relax in, and a place for your clothes. The bathroom and shower with his & hers vanities is just outside your door.
The Sunset Room is adjacent to the Sunrise Room and is a smaller version of the other room. It features views of the forest lands to the North and West into the fields and meadows surrounding the Lodge. Inside you will also find a Queen size bed, a place for your clothes and the shared bathroom with shower and his & hers vanities is also just outside your door.
Other areas in the Lodge include the living room, which is spacious and airy with very comfortable couches to relax into, a reading nook softened by stained glass in the window – a perfect place to relax and read a book, or step out onto our expansive covered decks to soak up the sun while taking in the views!
Your stay with us includes all of your meals, including a full breakfast.
We prepare all meals using locally bought meats, fresh caught fish and seasonal vegetables from our garden (when possible). We take pride in serving delicious, satisfying meals that will not leave you wanting more!
Please advise us in advance of any dietary preferences or food allergies.
A complimentary glass of wine will be provided with dinner, and homemade Baileys will make your morning gourmet coffee sing! We feature fresh Sumatra coffee beans that have been roasted locally, right here in the Kootenays.
The room rates change with the seasons, the number of guests and the meal selections, but transportation across the Arrow Lake, fantastic food and daily housekeeping are always included.
Prices include all taxes, meals and transportation from Renata to and from the Anderson Point boat launch.
Shuttle service to and from the Castlegar Regional Airport can be arranged at your request, by car, or a scenic helicopter flight! Contact Us for details…
